Biography
Colorado isn't a fun place to be in the middle of winter. Or even in the beginning of winter for that matter. When Carly decided to make her appearance on a cold evening in November, Sandra and Mitchell Kitsen were pretty sure their second born was going to be a force to be reckoned with. It was snowing like crazy, roads were closed, but that wasn't going to stop Mitchell from speeding to the hospital. There was no way that his wife was having a baby in his beloved camero, okay? Even if he did have to give it up just a few months later in favor of an suv that could take them to Key West..
Born Carlene Anne Kitsen, Carly never knew the meaning of being snowed in. Her parents traded in snow men for sand castles before she had even turned a year old. The cold made them miserable and Key West sounded like the perfect place to be. It was warm and that was all that mattered. They sold their house, packed up their belongings, and off they went. The homes were more expensive in Key West, but that didn't matter. Hurricanes? They'd dealt with blizzards. Bring it on.
Her childhood days were spent begging to go to the beach, though often she found herself being babysat by her next door neighbor, Fernanda. Sandra and Mitchell had three mouths to feed and had spent all their money on an old fixer upper not too close to the water, so most of their time was spent working. Mitchell took odd jobs until he could buy his own boat to give boat tours while Sandra worked at a local restaurant.
When she did find her way to the beach, Carly often sat by the edge of the water, staring out and wondering just what was on the other side. Sure, she could have looked at a map, or paid attention in Geography but what was the fun in that? No, she'd rather believe that on the other side of the ocean was a magical world where money didn't matter and dreams weren't just dreams. The magical world theories eventually faded once she found better things to do, but Carly still enjoys just sitting and staring off while at the beach when she's stressed.
With the mention of "better things to do," Carly often found herself bored. She would drift from one idea to the next, unable to keep herself entertained for very long. She'd go to the beach and meet someone whom she'd call her best friend that afternoon, but by the next week, she would have already forgotten their name. Dance, acting, modeling, soccer, softball, she's tried it all. It was when she was sixteen that she decided to give surfing a try. It was a Friday afternoon and by Sunday, she'd already given it up. But, for once, it wasn't because she'd gotten bored with it. No, Carly collided with a boy while on her borrowed board. She'd managed to walk away with a few bumps and bruises, but he wound up in the hospital. It was then that she somehow managed to not get bored, but found herself completely intrigued by the friend she'd never really thought about. They soon began dating and she'd been with him since.
The only other guy that holds a place in her heart[her dad and brother don't count] is the ever so wonderful Tom Selleck. An old episode of Magnum PI came on while Fernanda watched her and that was it for her. She has plans to one day meet this man, and swears she won't be a psycho fan. No, no. She's be smooth and he'll fall in love. End of story.
Plans for the future? Carly isn't quite sure, but she knows the college needs to be interesting and the job better be amazing. She's thinking maybe a secret agent? Though, it's not much of a secret if she's telling everyone that those might be her plans. It might be the only job that causes her to be different all the time, even if it might lead to getting killed. So mayyybe she also enjoys watching Chuck. Perhaps, she should just stick to acting. With each new role, she's a new person. Interesting, indeed.

Other than being afraid of animals, Carly is also afraid of being eaten alive by bugs. Refuses to watch any type of "bug" movie.
Loves the movies Bachelor Party, Three Men and a Baby, Weird Science, Gone with the Wind, Arsenic and Old Lace.
Has a thing for nerds.
Her room is just like any other teenager's room with the exception of the huge Tom Selleck poster next to a Captain Planet one.
Plans on getting a tattoo. Just as soon as she can decide on what she wants.
Has been in every single club offered at school at one point or another.
She technically, doesn't have a job. She often helps her dad give boat tours and babysits.
Before she was old enough to stay alone at home, she spent most of her afternoons after school being watched by an older hispanic woman next door so often spouts out spanglish.

Carly loves her peoples, right? Right. Drys currently holds zee key to her heart, even if Tom Selleck owns it. They've been friends for awhile but didn't get close until after she caused them to crash while surfing.
Her poor clunker of a car, Mildred, is constantly breaking down so her hero, Oliver is constantly having to work on it. He is trying to convince her to get another one and rebuild it with him but who likes to be greasy and gross?
No me diga! Jimmy is her latino lover..minus the latino and the lover parts.
I get Tom, you get Paul, and you get Michael. Adalyn and Charlotte also share a love for older men so they often have marathon nights where only MEN are allowed to chill with them. Meaning..on the tv screen.
Taste the rainbow. Mar has a love for red and blues, Carly loves her purple and greens. Those being her favorite colors. A match made in candy heaven.
Teacher meet the student. Carly will take every opportunity she gets to educate people about the awesomeness that is Mr. Selleck. Roxie is her newest pupil.
Everyone has a favorite. Lucas just happens to be Carly's. Why, por favor? He was seen sporting a Sellecky mustache for her. How could he not be number 1?
